Ordering a used lens online, I never expect to receive one in pristine condition. I have heard, of course, of Japanese sellers' reputation for delivering clean, well-preserved camera lens, but I don't expect them to be completely dust-free! When I received this used Olympus 12-40mm f2.8 Pro lens, I discovered a small envelope with a personal message from seller, handwritten in neat cursive. Inside the envelope was an origami crane. It was a small gesture from an eBay seller "nyukik*-0", who I was not surprised to know has a 100% rating from customers. I may be easy to impress, but this little touch made me feel like a million bucks!

Then I opened the rest of the package and saw the lens. It was so clean, so beautiful, that I was moved to take a photo! The little dust that you see on the lens, is actually from my home - which is embarrassing. The lens I received was completely spotless. So here it is: The Japanese culture at work that moved this photographer and seller to preserve the lens from use scuffs and to handle and package it so completely dust-free that to move this photographer to share it with the world.
